The Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, according to legend, was painted on the board of the refectory table from the house of Jesus Christ. It was brought to Russia at the beginning of the 12th century and has since been revered as the main shrine of our Fatherland. On the back are written the words of a prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos: “Look up and hear, Lady, and give comfort to your servants.”
