Icon Savior

The "Savior Almighty", often simply "Savior", is the central image in the iconography of Christ, representing Him as the Heavenly King. “I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty,” declared the Spirit of God through the Apostle John. The chief physician of souls and bodies, who knows about everything and to whom, first of all, our prayer appeal should be directed. Sometimes despondency and despair penetrate into the very heart, but the Savior always gives a helping hand, and faith and hope revive again.
