The front side of the cross depicts the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. On both sides he is confronted in deesis (praying for people) by the Most Holy Theotokos and the prophet John the Baptist, the Baptist of the Lord. On the reverse side there is a Guardian Angel depicted in the center. This is an Angel who is given to every person in Baptism for the care and protection of his soul. On the left is depicted Saint Blessed Xenia of Petersburg, who is revered as an ambulance in establishing family happiness and helps with illnesses of children and loved ones. On the right is the holy noble prince Alexander Nevsky. The saint is revered as a protector of Orthodox Christians and a patron of warriors. Below is depicted the holy venerable Alexander Svirsky, one of the greatest Russian saints, honored with the appearance of the Holy Trinity. The saint helps childless spouses and heals a variety of ailments. The image is crowned with the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God - one of the main shrines of Russia.
